Spring is slowly making its way into our days and into our wardrobes- finally! With the transition into a new season I often look to add one or two new pieces to my wardrobe; this could be a fresh colour, a different silhouette or a new fabric.
I also like re-visit my closet for items I haven't worn in a while which may have made their way back into the zeitgeist; for me this season it is the Pencil Leg jean.
This silhouette is nothing new, however it is a departure from the oversized, baggy silhouettes we have been seeing with denim trends; wide leg, barrel leg and flares.
How happy was I then to have discovered a pair of of these slim cut jeans at the bottom of my denim stack- in the depths of my wardrobe! A flattering mid-blue pair of JBrand jeans that I probably purchased 5 years ago and which I will be styling with variations of suede ankle boots for now and later with colourful variations of ballet flats in bright colours and bold patters.
For now here is some inspiration and direction on where you could snag your first pair!!
