Ballet Flats Are Back

Going into Autumn is a great time to take stock of your shoe closets following a season of flip flops, sandals and bare foot attire. Transitional footwear is key this time of year- where we aren't ready to layer our feet completely and may still want to show-off remnants of our sun-kissed and brightly painted toes. That's when the ballerina flat can serve as the most versatile shoe in your closet. Easy enough to slip on, classic so it pairs with almost everything in your wardrobe and versatile for keeping casual or dressing up a bit. I also feel there will be a shift to this style of footwear; feminine, flattering and versatile, as a response to the chunky, heavy and slightly androgynous footwear that has dominated past seasons- loafers, trainers and heavy boots (not that these don't have a place in our wardrobes too!).
