Each season, so many trends can be drawn from the runway shows of New York, London, Milan and Paris; but how can they be interpreted for our closets and used in everyday life? It's not as easy as it may seem, given there is a fine line between interpreting a trend to suit your style and copying a trend so literally, that it often looks forced and banal.
This past Fashion week season, I was so wonderfully pleased to see the resurfacing of the Boho look parading down the catwalks in Paris, showcased exquisitely by Chemena Kamali as the new Creative Director at Chloe. By definition, these 'boho' looks, were refined, fresh and feminine contrary to the look often being associated with a sloppy and undone aesthetic. Soft silhouettes, sumptuous fabrics and sensational styling was on display and these will be the key takeaways for me when trying to incorporate this trend into my wardrobe over the next few seasons. Here are some of my favourite runway looks:

Also to note, summer is the perfect season to experiment with a boho look, thanks to the lighter fabrics and flowing silhouette associated with it. You may already have pieces that sit nicely within this trend, including 'of the moment' pieces such as flare jeans, patchwork, fringing, capes, clogs and knee high boots. Anything with hardware, feathers and lace will add a nice detail to elevate an outfit and make it sing! I hope you enjoy this look as much as I do, and enjoy the moodboard for shopping inspiration!
